Modern Score Workflow, Indie Films and Beyond...
We had a great evening with the Society of Lyricists and Composers on Monday evening. The conversation around ‘Modern Score Workflow, Indie Films and Beyond’ was extremely well attended and the audience kept the panelists lead by our David Wolfert on their toes.
We love hosting events that bring together creatives from across the city and last night was no exception.

A beach in the Dominican Republic + A Red Bull Formula 1 Car = All Kinds of Awesome
Shot and Directed by Kacho Lopez from Basecamp Entertainment and Edited by Bruce Ashley here at Goodpenny, this is the kind of video you’re going to want to watch twice.
(at 0:15 look for the red motorized Powrachute in the background. Amazing aerial camera work above the beach)
Manon at the Met - Review
“No matter what your musical taste, Anna Netrebko was perfection. With no microphones, no reverb and no studio trickery, she held the entire audience in the palm of her hand. The silence of thousands of people afraid to breathe during her pauses was awesome.” David Wolfert, Head of Commercial Music at Goodpenny

Chris will be performing tonight at 8/7c on NBC....
Shout Out Out Out Out
At the CMJ Music Festival in New York, Shout Out Out Out Out rocked a showcase that created quite a buzz. Helmed by Bruce Ashley, Team Goodpenny was on hand to innovatively capture this epic performance on 5 Canon DSLR cameras. Lord of Loud - RIP
Jim Marshall, inventor of the amplifier that bears his name, has passed away. Often referred to as the Father of Loud or, since he was given an OBE, the Lord of Loud, his creation changed the world of music. Without him much of what we listen to would not sound the same, and Spinal Tap would not have been able to turn their amps up to 11.
SMASH-ing Success
Katharine McPhee and her incredible voice are showcased in this original song “20th Century Fox Mambo” from the NBC show, SMASH. Her vocals were recorded and mixed here at Goodpenny by our Lawrence Manchester. Congrats to the entire cast and crew on the renewal of a 2nd season.
